Guild Ranks - The Devout - 06-02-2015

Below you will find the guild ranks from highest to lowest as well as descriptions of their guild function and the requirements to achieve the rank.
It should be noted that no one in the guild is considered lesser or more outside the guild Roleplay for their rank but certain ranks do have power and rights that others do not.

---

Eminence

This is the guildmaster rank. Only Zirconi holds it and it pretty much speaks for itself.

Enforcer

Officer Rank. The function of an Officer in The Devout is to deal with guild politics, maintain order amongst members, ensure things are running smoothly for members, lead and form raids/parties when possible and to organise events of all shapes and sizes when they are needed to.
The only guild member marked Enforcer who ranks above Enforcer is Etheron.
The requirements to achieve this rank are as follows:

1. Online Frequently.
2. Must be on the guild website serving as a moderator
3. A Firm grasp of the guild roleplay, regardless of their level of participation in it. You should be able to provide details or direct someone to where they might learn the finer details when needed.
4. An understanding of the guilds political position with regards to itself and its position with other guilds.
5. Take responsibility for newly invited members. Especially those you personally invited.
6. Must be friendly and capable of exercising at least some degree of patience. If a problem arises that you personally cannot solve or provide help with you should at least be able to direct someone to where they might find a solution or pass the duty to a more available officer, or one who would be better suited to deal with the problem at hand.
7. Understand when to and not to give an order linked to rank and what the appropriate impunity is for failing to follow an order. (See guild Rules and Code of Conduct)

8. Must have a respectable understanding of ArcheAge. (This is purely by guild standards. You do not need to be an authority on all things ArcheAge or spend hours reading up on anything. It is ideal that you have an interest in the more competitive details of the game so you can give people above-average advice though. ^ ^)
9. Must own a Cow mount. (Can be purchased from Mirage Isle for 5 Gilda Stars.)

Zealot

Zealots are consistently active members who are established within the guild.
The requirements to achieve this rank are as follows:

1. Online Frequently.
2. Must be on the guild website and ideally active in discussions.
3. A Firm grasp of the guild roleplay, regardless of their level of participation in it.
4. Must be willing to inquire about the guilds political position when unsure before making serious decisions with regards to other guilds. (Ideally you should always be up to date on the guilds political position.)
5. Be available to help thriving new members to become established. You don't have to go overboard but a willingness to help is strongly encouraged. You should be aiming to make everyone ranked below you a Zealot as best you can!
6. Must have a respectable understanding of ArcheAge. (As stated above in the officer rank, this is still by guild standards.)
7. Must own a Cow mount. (Can be purchased from Mirage Isle for 5 Gilda Stars.)

Acolyte

This rank is for players who are still fairly new to the game who have a strong intention of continuing to play. It is a trial placement for people who have shown an interest in what the guild has to offer and may find The Devout to be something that would enhance their gameplay experience.
Requirements for this rank are as follows:

1. Must be Level 50 or higher and have at least the final set of quest gear or better.
2. A basic understanding of the guild's roleplay regardless of their level of participation.
3. A strong interest in the guilds plans and goals and a willingness to further those goals as those goals further them.
4. Must be at least somewhat active.
5. Must be registered to the guild forum and ideally active in discussions.

Neophyte

Someone who is new to the game who might enjoy the experience, help and security of a guild.
A Neophyte does not have to stick with the guild as they progress through the game but is expected to show appreciation for any help they may receive from guild members.
Higher ranked members are encouraged to be helpful and informative to Neophytes so that they may be more inclined to remain with The Devout as they become more involved in ArcheAge.
If you meet any of the following requirements you will be considered a Neophyte:

1. Below Level 50 or lack at bare minimum Karkasse Ridgelands quest gear
2. New to the game (Under a month of play-time)
3. Limited Knowledge of ArcheAge's mechanics
4. Are an alt-character (Examples: From NA on Nebe for APEX, Exist for political purposes with another guild, are used for some purpose by a guild member who's main is in The Devout)
5. Are not registered to the guild forum.
6. Have been inactive for 2 weeks or more.

RE: Guild Ranks - The Devout - 06-02-2015

NOTES:

  • There is currently no Guild Rules or Code of Conduct thread. It will be taken care of ASAP.
  • "Oneline frequently" would mean "ArcheAge is among your primary hobbies when not busy" - The ideal is you are around for some number of hours every day, but being consistently active in some respect is more than sufficient. Being a casual player does not exclude you from qualifying.
  • "Somewhat active" refers to having your presence in the guild known. When most members of the guild look at your name in the guild list their first question should not be "Who is this person?"
  • "A respectable understanding of ArcheAge" refers to you knowing common information that the majority of people who play ArcheAge would know. For example: It is understood that certain classes are considered more ideal for PvP than others. You do not have to agree with that opinion but you would need to know what the opinion held by the majoirty of players is in order to have a "respectable understanding."
  • It is noted that the guild forum is still being improved so "Participating in discussions" is not always consistently possible right now. However, as the guild picks up it would be appreciated if your interest in the forum picked up with it.

There will be a news thread for those in-guild posted soon (If you're reading this it probably has already been posted) where an open discussion regarding ranks, Code of Conduct etc. will be held.

This thread is not yet absolutely complete and will be modified appropriatly in future.
Should any major changes occur to the above rank information at that time a topic will be posted.
